Providing a View  2019

Insitu intervention during KONVOOI Arts Festival 

​

Clarisse Bruynbroeck and Ralph Collier shifts the view of the spectator for the KONVOOI Arts Festival in Bruges, BE. They intervene in public city furniture and place an old city bench in the middle of the harbor. The switchover between city park and port is an action that offers a resting point on the route of the festival, to look at the grandeur and beauty of the port industry.

 

Only further on the route, at the place in the park where the bench is taken away, you notice that there is a void. The connection between both places only becomes clear to the viewer here. A stone carving has been made at both places to permanently connect both locations.
